Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of StencilBench at image-to-stencil.pages.dev (the "Service"), operated by an independent developer ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. What the Service does

You choose an image. Software running in your browser converts it into a printable, cuttable stencil or line-art outline, which you can download. The output is meant for uses such as spray painting, tattoo transfer, and cutting machines, and the SVG can be imported into most cutting software. The image is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us (see our Privacy Policy).

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your images

• Only use images you own or have the right to use.
• You keep all rights to your images. Because images never leave your device, we receive no copy and no license to them.
• You are responsible for the stencils you make and what you do with them.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass or impersonate other people;
• use the Service to infringe anyone's copyright or trademark;
• interfere with the Service, overload it, or try to bypass its security;
• scrape, copy, or resell the Service or its content in bulk;
• use our name or content in a way that suggests we endorse you.

5. Stencils are approximations, not professional advice

The output is an automated approximation of your image. We don't guarantee that a stencil will cut cleanly, hold together, or look the way you expect. In particular, we don't guarantee the structural strength of a cut stencil: check the position of bridges and thin parts yourself before you cut.

If you use a stencil for tattooing, spray painting, cutting, or anything else, the final result, skin safety, and copyright are your responsibility. The Service is not medical, tattoo-practitioner, or safety advice. Please consult a qualified professional where it matters, for example before applying anything to skin.

6. Paid features

Paid features: not available yet. No paid features are currently available, and we don't collect payment or payment details. The paid options shown as "coming soon" are not an offer to sell. If we introduce paid features, price and refund terms will be shown before purchase and these terms will be updated.

7. Our content

The website's design, text, graphics, and code belong to us or our licensors. You may use the Service for your own purposes, including making and using stencils from images you have the right to use. The stencils you generate are yours, subject to the rights of whoever owns the original image.

8. Third-party services

The Service uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare hosting. Their use is subject to their own terms. We're not responsible for third-party websites we link to.

9. Changes and availability

We may change, suspend, or stop the Service, or any part of it, at any time. We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date shows the latest version. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the new terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT ANY STENCIL WILL SUIT YOUR PURPOSE OR THAT YOU WILL BE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY COST, INJURY, OR LOSS RELATED TO TATTOOS, PAINTING, CUTTING, MATERIALS, OR OTHER USE OF A STENCIL YOU MAKE. THE SERVICE IS FREE, SO OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE IT, WHICH IS ZERO (US$0). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the place where the operator resides, unless mandatory consumer law of your country says otherwise. Before filing any claim, please contact us first at hello@howtallai.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
